First manned flight using hydrogen battery doesn’t cause rain, only tears

You’re looking at the world’s first manned flight powered by a hydrogen battery. Boeing’s prop-driven aircraft set the lone pilot aloft for about 20 minutes at a speed of 100-kilometres (62 miles) an hour at an altitude of about 1,000 meters. The 800-kilogram (1,760-pound) craft with a 16.3-meter (51-foot) wingspan is capable of flying for about 45 minutes under the power of its hydrogen fuel cells — the airplane’s batteries provided an additional boost for takeoff. The fuel cells harvest the energy produced by the chemical transformation of hydrogen and oxygen into water — that makes the craft clean as well as near silent. Unfortunately, the technology is nowhere near the point of powering commercial aircraft. At best, the fuel-cells could act as a secondary power source… in another 20 years.

New Hydrogen

Washington, DC - The National Hydrogen Association’s Hydrogen Education Foundation has launched a nationwide educational campaign to increase understanding about hydrogen. The initiative includes targeted public relations and the new, informative website: www.H2andYou.org. The website has been designed to act as a destination for those wanting to learn more about hydrogen while highlighting, in laymen’s terms, new ways hydrogen is being used today and how these uses relate to things people really care about. The site will answer common questions; present examples of market-ready hydrogen products that provide real energy solutions today; and offer video, podcasts and links to hydrogen news stories.

H2 and You Website“While many people identify hydrogen as a universal alternative fuel, in general, the public doesn’t yet understand how hydrogen can relate to them,” says Jeffrey A. Serfass, President of the National Hydrogen Association and the Hydrogen Education Foundation. “The H2 and You program is designed to help anyone grasp how hydrogen can be made and how its adoption is already having a positive impact on our lives.”

Hydrogen, a universal, highly adaptable fuel, is present in water, plants, minerals and all living things. Thanks to modern technologies, the energy from virtually any natural resource can be converted to hydrogen and then put to work for things we use every day, helping them operate more cleanly and efficiently. Just how clean hydrogen is, over its entire lifecycle, depends mainly on how it is produced. H2 and You will explain the full range of options for producing hydrogen and putting it to work.

H2 and You also highlights hydrogen’s current applications. For example:

“One of the things we would like people to take away from our H2 and You campaign is the significance of hydrogen energy and how its long-term adoption can benefit us all,” said Serfass. “Hydrogen will play a substantial role in the areas of greater energy security, a cleaner environment and stronger economic growth.”

To see new hydrogen products in person, come to the NHA Annual Hydrogen Conference and Hydrogen Expo US in Sacramento, CA March 30-April 3, 2008. You will have opportunities to see working hydrogen fuel cells, drive hydrogen cars and take rides in hydrogen buses. For more information, visit www.HydrogenAssociation.org or Google “hydrogen conference.”

Solar cell directly splits water for hydrogen

Plants trees and algae do it. Even some bacteria and moss do it, but scientists have had a difficult time developing methods to turn sunlight into useful fuel. Now, Penn State researchers have a proof-of-concept device that can split water and produce recoverable hydrogen.

“This is a proof-of-concept system that is very inefficient. But ultimately, catalytic systems with 10 to 15 percent solar conversion efficiency might be achievable,” says Thomas E. Mallouk, the DuPont Professor of Materials Chemistry and Physics. “If this could be realized, water photolysis would provide a clean source of hydrogen fuel from water and sunlight.”

It’s not a silver bullet for all of mankind’s energy problems, but it had to happen, right? Use this link for the full press release

Correction Regarding Water4Gas Alternative Gas Solution

The clarification having to do with Water4Gas alternative fuel solution, it is that we are not actually an alternative fuel solution. We are a BOOSTER. Now, factually, in the information package that you can buy from one of my links there are blueprints they do show you various methods that some folks have discovered which allow you to substitute hydrogen for gas altogether. And you are welcome to try them on your own responsibility.
But this is not our focus. Our focus is to get you improving fuel economy If we can bring about improving fuel economy by at least twelve percent that will save you more cash in a few months then what you spent on our information. And the for the rest of forever you will continue saving, meanwhile your automobile should run better and you will have cleaner emissions which is better for the environment. If we can get you 50% or greater fuel economy then I am sure you would be satisfied with that. Results vary significantly from one automobile to the next and we are not making any promises. You might say that our motto is “no promises/no secrets”
We are NOT attempting to make cars run on Hydrogen energy. We just take EXCESS energy from the automobile’s battery or alternator (in other words very low current that the engine does not feel) and employ this electricity to generate a tiny amount of Hydrogen per minute. The hydrogen helps split the gas/air mixture droplets intosmaller particles – thus helping it burn more efficiently and less wastefully.

Now HOW do we do it? This is explained in the information in the ebooks. Water is getting split into Oxygen and Hydrogen with an uncomplicated home-made device, and fed into the UNCONVERTED engine (same gas system, same computer, etc.) It’s just an ENHANCER. The automobile isn’t running on Hydrogen. The automobile runs on gas!!!
Water4Gas is NOT about hydrogen as a source of energy. It is about consuming gas a little bit better by reducing its droplet size in the gas/air mixture from the use of a TINY amount of Hydrogen+Oxygen.

Hydrogen vs. Electric

I’ve been reading a lot lately about hydrogen vehicles and their potential. but the interesting thing about hydrogen technology is that there are some practical obstacles to hydrogen tech that a lot of people are not aware of. A book called, ‘the hype about hydrogen’ states that there are 5 miracles that must occur:

  1. current fuel cell cars cost > $100,000.00 - this must drop in order for fuel cells to even be considered by the average consumer
  2. not enough room for hydrogen - no known material by humankind can store enough fuel on board to give the range people want
  3. fuel is expensive - even hydrogen from dirty fossil fuels is 2 to 3 times more expensive than gasoline
  4. need fueling infrastructure - we have over 180,000 gas stations in the country. We’d need at least 20,000 stations spread out across the country to even make hydrogen a realistic and convienent fuel
  5. hope and pray that current competing technology doesn’t get any better.

These are very realistic and compelling reasons why hydrogen is the carrot and the American people are the donkey in this scam.

15 years ago scientists where claiming that hydrogen technology is 10 to 15 years away. That time has passed, untold billions have been spent on developing basically nothing and where are we at? Well, the technology is 10 to 15 years away from being truly viable and oh by the way.. get your checkbook out.

Why not take a look at history. Over 100 years ago there were more electric cars on roads than internal combustion cars. Electric cars were clearly popular at one point and they can be again if we as a society actually stop being placated by the ‘wait and see’ mantra that has been chanted to us for the last couple years as demand has dramatically increased for alternative fuel vehicles.

I say we forget the alternative fuel and just go for no fuel at the vehicle level. Go electric. It will be compatible with everything. Use the alternative fuels to generate the electricity, it is an even more efficient and cleaner use of those fuels anyway. The technology is already in place in almost every home in America (except the Amish but they have alternative fuel vehicles anyway).

So Mr. vehicle makers (Ford, GM, etc. al), please, get busy serving the American people for once and not your own interests. The first to do so you will find great rewards.

Hydrogen Powered Cars And A Life Lesson For You

What is the best way to ascertain if someone is actually your friend? They encourage you.
What is the best way to know if someone is an expert? They are competent and get results.
How do you know if someone is useless as a friend? That is to say a loser?
Such individuals say “it can’t be done” and especially “you can’t do it”. First of all, such remarks are too general. I hate to use a generality of my own but this one is true… “generalities are almost never true”. If they advise “can’t” insist on, seek, a straight answer. Dig in!
Ask have they ever tried it themselves? What precisely did they do? When was it? Was it with the technology that works or some older method? Point is don’t ever accept a generality, definitely don’t ever accept a negative generality. Insist on responses and information that helps you. And this will make it easier for you to select your friends and your advisors and experts.

Moving forward then, Water4Gas is an easy, inexpensive method which any layman can utilize to increase your MPGup to 50% and more while cleaning the engine – it even reduces emissions.

The IRS, in 2005, could not afford to continually ignore alternative fuel anymore, and started allowing considerable rebates for “green” automobiles, fuels and “green” upgrades.
You can get a rebate up to $2,000 for a car, and a lot more for a truck.
Naturally you are required to show receipts that detail your expenses in installing and operating your water powered automobile.

There Is No Corporate Monopoly Over Hydrogen Powered Cars

Pretty easy to figure out why there are those in power that are trying to keep us from finding out the truth. They will a fortune. Factually their whole scam would come tumbling down like a house of cards built on a sand castle on a blustery day if folks discovered what I am aware of right now and what you will be able to learn immediately after you are done reading this article.
Our cars are built to fail.
The typical automobile engine loses gas in so many ways that we only actually burn about 20% of what we put in our cars!
If car makers didn’t want cars to run in a non optimum way then how come we have a catalytic converter? That is there to escort out of the system in the emissions, all the UNBURNED fuel! There must be quite a bit of it for the law to require such an expensive and complicated system be included in all engines!
Haven’t you ever noticed the number of hoses in your vehicle engine are made of inferior rubber that gets crisp, cracked and crumbles?
As long as they can keep selling cars while they only pay lip service to environmental concerns, where they can say they are working to provide higher MPG while actually not. In fact, in the last hundred years, average MPG has lessened by 40%!

But here is the exciting news.
See, what they are trying to hide from you will crash them.
Because there are so many individualswho are just tired of being dumped on while getting inferior products while billion dollar corporations take in more billions!
And what these billion dollar corporations never prepared for is that you would be reading this article right now. That the secrets of hydrogen burning automobile engines would be made available open source on the world wide web and that thousands of individuals every month are getting the knowledge to make the conversion and converting their cars on their own every month. And we are just getting started. And we are here to help.

Anyway, don’t participate in their game! We can play a much finer game! We need you! We have the method to convert water into fuel and we need you to participate as a pioneer in your neighborhood and for your family and friends. Let’s play a new game where everybody of good intent will win.

Dr Ron Paul And the Pricey Price Of Fuel in the USA

These are revolutionary times again in the USA!
The patriot who started it all and got so many Americans out of apathy, away from their lounge chairs, and into the streets and also coordinating via the world wide web is Dr Ron Paul. His message is powerful…freedom, prosperity and peace. The expensive of fuel is something that lies across these three aspects of the movement. Certainly it pertains to prosperity and peace.
As regards to peace, Henry Kissinger and Former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan have both admitted in recent months that the war in Iraq is about oil. (Since they admitted it and are known liars the real reason has to be even more tragic but let’s go forward with that for now)
As regards prosperity, the expensive price of fuel in the USA is an indicator of what is at fault with the the USA economic system.
Why is it that people in the United States are now paying twice what they paid to pump fuel into their vehicle engines in 2004?
Well the real reasons have to do with taxation and inflation. As regards rising prices, Dr Ron Paul has indicated that it is a type of tax itself, which does more harm to the middle class more than anyone.
But taxes and rising prices comprise about 25% of what we pay for a gallon of fuel. A gallon of fuel is presently about $3 and the tax and inflation portion comprise approximately 80 cents of that $3!
There is a third situation causing people in the United States to be paying more for fuel and that is because our dollar is worth so much less than it was a very short time back.
Oil, as an international commodity, is practically a currency in its own right. And the our dollar’s plunge from a very short time back has seen it’s consequences.
So when Dr Ron Paul calls for eliminating the Federal Reserve and the IRS and reinstating the gold backing for the currency, these are ideas that could avert a recession.
Dr Ron Paul has proposed legislation which is a stop gap proposal that would forbid the price of gas from rising above $3 and it also opens America up for business again in domestic oil including terminating the moratorium on offshore drilling.
Because of vested interests, Dr Ron Paul ‘s bill will never pass.
So the solution is up to free thinkers and the free market.
BRILLIANT SOLUTION TO OVERCOME SKYROCKETING EXORBITANT GASOLINE PRICES– The Hydrogen Engine!
What if you never had to buy another gallon of fuel again?
Convert your fuel engine to hydrogen.
If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you should see savings on your fuel consumption of up to 30% maybe more.
If you do this and also add acetone to your gas tank (which will save you another 25% or so) then you will have increased your MPG by a combined 50%! Put in about 2-3 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of fuel and the fuel will evaporate less easily and you improve your MPG by 25% or more.
If you do a full gas to hydrogen conversion then you will have pumped your last gallon of fuel for the rest of your life. It is far easier than you might think, costs next to nothing, safeguards the environment and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to conserve resources instead of using up more than your fair share.

NIST Set To Test Hydrogen Pipelines

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has started construction on a new laboratory to evaluate tests, materials, mechanical properties and standards for Hydrogen pipelines. The 750 sq ft laboratory, expected to be operational by mid-2008, will sit on the site of a former Hydrogen test facility at the NIST campus in Boulder, Colo.

Since long-term exposure to Hydrogen can embrittle existing pipelines and increase the potential for dangerous failures, researchers will be using hydraulic machines to test mechanical fatigue, residual strength and fracture toughness of various pipeline materials and equipment.

Some of the experiments will involve immersing pipeline materials in pressurized Hydrogen gas contained in steel alloy test chambers. NIST is coordinating its research and safety plans with other national laboratories and industry groups working with Hydrogen. In the future, the focus will expand to new pipeline materials such as composites.
